Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will list bonds of Indore Municipal Corporation in Mumbai Stock Exchange by sounding bell at 9.00 a.m. on July 5.
The Indore Municipal Corporation has issued bonds of Rs. 170 crore on June 28 recently to ensure economic participation of citizens in urban development activities. In this way, the Indore Municipal Corporation has become the first of the state and third of the country’s Municipal Corporation to issue such bonds.
Bonds have been issued by the Municipal Corporation to develop water distribution, sewerage, and urban transportation facilities in Indore city. The Union Government’s share of Rs. 324.05 crore, the state government’s share of Rs. 486.18 crore and Rs. 162.08 crore as Municipal Corporation’s share has been decided under this.
Chief Minister meets Senior Industrialists to invite investment
CM Chouhan attended the programme, organized by the CII during his visit of Mumbai today. He met and held discussions with the Consul Generals of various countries and Senior Industrialists in connection to the investment in the state. The Chief Minister met especially with the Consul Generals of Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Korea and Russia and informed them about the development journey of the state.
Chouhan has informed that Madhya Pardesh has become the ideal state for investment in all the sectors. He invited investors to participate in the Global Investors Summit to be held at Indore, the Industrial City of Madhya Pradesh on February 23-24 as Friend countries.
The Consul General of Singapore Ajit Singh, while congratulating CM Chouhan towards efforts being made for investment in the state, has said that facilities being provided in the state attract us. He assured that investors from Singapore will be encouraged for investment in Madhya Pradesh for development in special sector. The Consul General of Australia Tony Uber appreciated the efforts of the Chief Minister.
Moreover, the British Deputy High Commissioner Ben Green also expressed interest for investment in education and banking sector in Madhya Pradesh.
Interest in the field of water conservation was shown by the Consul General of Canada and said that he will visit Madhya Pradesh soon by accepting invitation from the Chief Minister. Chouhan happily accepted an invitation of the Consul General of Indonesia for participation of Indian representatives in Trade Expo to be organized at his country from October 24 to 28.
The Chief Minister Chouhan expressed gratitude towards all the Consul Generals for attending the programme of CII.The Principal Secretary Industries Mohammad Suleman and Principal Secretary to CM S.K. Mishra were also present on this occasion.
