Two persons were booked for
allegedly raping a minor of Langeri village in the district, police said today.
According to a complaint lodged by the girl's mother, her daughter was found to be pregnant following which the accused brought her some pills to facilitate abortion, they said.
The girl took the pills, which resulted in the abortion, the woman said in her complaint.
The girl's mother told police that on finding her daughter a bit distraught off-late, she asked her the reason.
The girl told her that during her examination days in March, when she was alone in the house, two men, both around 20-years-old, had forcibly entered the house and raped her, police said.
She did not report the incident to anyone as they had threatened her of causing harm to her family, the mother told the police.
A case under Sections 376 (rape) and 313 (causing miscarriage without woman's consent) of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act against two men of the same village on the woman's complaint, police said.
Station House Officer Banga (Sadar) Rajiv Kumar said the medical examination of the girl was conducted in the civil hospital.
He said raids were also conducted to nab the culprits, who are still at large.
