Four alleged human traffickers nabbed

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Nanital, Janmejay Khanduri said while addressing a Press conference  here on Thursday that they have arrested four accused hailing from Jharkhand and West Bengal allegedly involved in  trafficking  children to Nanital to engage them in crimes like robbery. They were nabbed from Haldwani railway station, he added.

The arrested quartet are identified as Vishnu Kumar Noniya, Mohommad Aakash Ansaari and Mohomad Irsaar Ansaari-all from Jharkhand and Shubhash Noniya from West Bengal. Besides, four children were rescued, the SSP said, adding that  the rescued  children would be kept at the children’s home while the accused would be produced at the court. 

SSP, further, said that the children had been brought here after the accused gave some money to their family members. He announced  an award of Rs 25,000 to the team which nabbed the accused and rescued the children.

It is being considered as a major catch for the administration.
