KOLKATA: A woman was gang-raped at her residence in front of her husband and son by men with whom she had danced at a local marriage programme at Sitalkuchi village in Coochbehar district of West Bengal.

According to the preliminary investigation, accused Pinku Burman and Krishna Burman had danced with the victim during a general celebratory dancing programme at a marriage programme on Monday night. The accused had then followed the victim's family after the event and were rebuked after which they stopped following.

However, later at night the two accused broke into the house, tied and gagged the victim's husband and held a knife at her son's throat and asked her to have physical relation with them. However, when the victim refused, the two raped her in front of her family members.

Police lodged a complaint against the duo on Wednesday evening and arrested them on Thursday morning.
