Hurricane Beryl is expected to reach Lesser Antilles by late Sunday or Monday: National Hurricane Center

Hurricane Beryl, the second named storm of the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season, was churning about 1,045 miles east southeast of the Lesser Antilles on Friday, the National Hurricane Center said in an advisory. Beryl had maximum sustained winds of about 80 miles an hour and is expected to cross the island chain late Sunday or Monday, said the advisory. "Interests in the Lesser Antilles should monitor the progress of Beryl, as hurricane watches could be needed for some of the islands by tonight," it said. There are currently no coastal watches or warnings in effct.
