After numerous duds at the box office, Ranbir Kapoor struck gold with Sanju, at the box office.
After registering the highest opening weekend collection (Rs 120.06 crore) this year, Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, continues its victory run.
The film made Rs 18. 90 crore on its sixth day. On its seventh day, the film is expected to rake in around Rs 15 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 201.41 crore approx.
The Sanjay Dutt biopic has already smashed several box office records. Having earned a staggering Rs 34.75 crore at the box office on its first day, Sanju beat Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer Race 3 to become the highest opener of the year so far.
Not just this, Sanju has broken the record of Baahubali 2 (Hindi) by recording highest single day for a Hindi film. The Hindi-dubbed version of Baahubali 2 had collected Rs 46.50 crore on Day 3, while Sanju zoomed past it by earning Rs 46.71 crore on its third day.
Sanju has become the seventh film to enter the Rs 100-crore club this year, after Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, Raazi and Race 3.
Ranbir has impressed critics, who cannot stop raving about his stellar performance in the biopic. Apart from Ranbir, Sanju has an ensemble cast that includes Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal and Manisha Koirala.
