CISF jawans gives CPR to US national at Delhi airport, saves life

NEW DELHI: A jawan of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) saved the life of a US national by promptly giving him CPR after the passenger fell unconscious at the Delhi airport.

Frank Russell, who was to travel to Paris last night via Air France flight at 9.51 pm on Thursday, while walking in the terminal, fell-down near international transfer near VIP exit gate.

CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) - P S Pal, immediately rushed to the passenger and found that he was unconscious and was not breathing.

Without losing any time, he started giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the passenger. Thereafter, Frank Russell regained his senses. A Medanta doctor was called and after administering first-aid, the passenger was referred to Medanta Hospital, Gurugram, said CISF Spokesperson Hemendra Singh.

Later, it was learnt that Frank Russell is out of danger and his condition is normal.

The director general of CISF – Rajesh Ranjan has lauded the act of ASI – P S Pal.
