Netgear's unit Arlo files for IPO

Arlo Technologies Inc., the security-camera making unit of Netgear Inc. has filed for a initial public offering, seeking to sell up to $100 million in shares. In a filing Friday, Arlo listed pro forma revenue of $101 million in the three months ended April 2, and pro forma earnings of $930,000 in the same period. It said it had 1.9 million registered users, and a share of 40% of the U.S. consumer network-connected camera systems market. The company plans to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ARLO. It filed as an "emerging growth" company, facing fewer requirements. Underwriters include BofA Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, and Guggenheim. Netgear announced the Arlo's spinoff in February. Shares of Netgear rose 3% late Friday after ending the regular trading day up 1.7%.
