The Vault Gallery of Art Friday Night Lights series is ushering in the summer with a “Whale of a Show.“

Visitors will find cold beer to quench their thirst, hot blues to light their fire, seaside art to delight the imagination, and a worthy cause to soothe the soul.

Open and free to the public, 10 percent of sales in the gallery and from brewery sales at the event will be donated to Mystic Aquarium Animal Rescue Clinic in Mystic, Connecticut. The “Vault’s co-owner, Barbara Leger, believes in giving back to her community. Her Friday Night Lights events not only bring art lovers together, but often provide a fun way for people to donate to worthy causes,” a press release from the gallery states.

July 6 donations will benefit the Mystic Aquarium, which is more than just an Aquarium. Through the efforts of their Animal Rescue Clinic, they provide care, hope and a safe haven for stranded marine animals. Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Clinic has been rescuing marine animals along 1,000 miles of the Northeastern coastline since 1975. Visit www.mysticaquarium.org/animal-rescue-clinic for more information.

Moby Dick Brewing Company is New Bedford’s latest local brew pub. They will be offering a selection of their signature beers on tap.

The featured artist will be Del-Bourree Bach, a contemporary realist who is known for his striking depictions of man and nature.

“You’ll feel as though you’re at the beach,” the release states. “Mr. Bach’s art is featured in many private and public collections including the U.S. Embassy and Coast Guard art collections. He has received more than 150 awards in his long career.”

Bach and his wife live in their Mystic, Connecticut home, “Pirate Hill.” In 2016 he was awarded Best Acrylic Painting in the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Best of America and achieved Master Status, an honor shared by only a dozen living artists.

Music will be provided by local bluesican Professor Harp.

“Professor Harp’s version of the Blues is downhome authentic,” the release states. He’s played with the likes of the great Muddy Waters, George Harmonica Smith, opened for the international superstar B.B. King, and many others. With Special Guest Guitarist Stovall Brown. www.professorharp.com.

The public is invited to join the fun Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. for July Friday Night lights.
