Telangana: 11 people burnt alive in a fire accident

At least 11 people including six women were burnt alive in a fire accident in the godown of a cracker shop in Warangal Wednesday. While 10 people died on the spot, one victim succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The condition of two injured persons is critical. Relief operations are underway at the incident spot. Official sources said the impact of the accident triggered by explosion was so intense that the entire roof of the fireworks factory was blown off.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
Telangana government has announced an ex gratia of five lakh rupees each to the kin of the deceased.
Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhara Rao asked officials to provide better medical facilities to the injured.
