A special training program for pre-school teachers and caregivers

PUNE: The Pune chapter of Early Childhood Association (ECA) has organised a teacher training festival Pune international early childhood (Piece) Education festival from June 28 to July 1 at the MCCIA ICC Towers Senapati Bapat Road.

A statement issued by ECA said that, parents entrust Pre-school and childcare for overall development and growth of their child. A special training is must for Pre-school and childcare teachers and caregivers in order to assure that the parents' expectations are fulfilled, and their child learns well. But it is often neglected.

Swati Popat Vats, president, ECA said in the statement that, "Having safe, nurturing and stimulating environment is the endeavour of every parent when it comes to pre-school and child care centre. To facilitate the holistic development of toddlers it is imperative to train teachers and caregivers with the best practices and latest trends in education. Through Piece, we aim to bring the best trainers in the field across the country to share their expertise, knowledge and experiences so that we can all learn from their best practices."

This four-day event is a platform to promote training and knowledge sharing important relevant to early childhood education issues amongst its stakeholders. Through this fest, ECA plans to bring together the best trainers to teachers, educators and support staff on one common platform. There will be 40 workshops conducted by trainers of national and international repute. This is a non-profit event and registration charges are nominal. There are 1200+ preschools and child care centres in Pune and ECA is targeting an audience of approximately 1000 teachers and staff for the training.
