Suspected child snatcher turns out to be real accused

RAJKOT: A labourer, whom members of the public suspected to be a ‘child lifter’ and thrashed on 80-Feet Road in Rajkot on Wednesday evening, turned out to be an actual kidnapper. Cops identified the accused as Chiliya Rathwa (30).
“Rathwa had picked up a three-year-old girl with the intention of raping her as alleged by the girl’s mother. He was caught by the mob which thrashed him black and blue,” said a police official from Thorala. Rathwa was arrested on the plaint of the girl’s mother. He has been booked for abduction. tnn
