Heavy rainfall to occur in south-west MP

Moisture incursion from Arabian Sea and offshore trough over north Maharashtra and north Kerala have induced rainfall across the state and few regions have received heavy rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Met official said that within next 2-3 days rainfall activities would increase and heavy rainfall would be witnessed in south west Madhya Pradesh.

A low pressure area over Bay of Bengal would bring monsoon trough increasing the rainfall activities around July 7-8.

The state capital witnessed cloudy conditions from the morning which later turned dark and dense and poured in the afternoon.

The state capital recorded 2 mm of rainfall on Wednesday.

The day temperature was recorded at 31.6 degree Celsius and night temperature was recorded at 25 degree Celsius.

On Wednesday Ujjain recorded 5 cm, Indore recorded 3 cm and Ratlam recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Kevlari recorded 5 cm of rainfall, Chattarpur, Hanumana and Sohagpur recorded   4 cm of rainfall, Rewa, Ghansor, Multai, Ratlam and Sailana recorded 3 cm of rainfall.  Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur divisions recorded good amount of rainfall in the past 24 hours.

According to the forecast, in the next 24 hours several places in Jabalpur and Shahdol division, Chattarpur, Damoh, Sagar, Vidisha, Raisen, Guna, Ashok Nagar and Sheopur districts while few places in Hoshangabad, Indore, Rewa and Ujjain divisions, Sehore, Gwalior and Rajgarh districts.

The weather conditions are still humid and after rainfall which started on Wednesday relief could be witnessed in weather conditions. The day temperatures have dipped on Wednesday with Gwalior recording 38.5 degree Celsius as the highest day temperature.
