Master plan for Thevara to be prepared soon

The master plan will mainly consist of various issues affecting the infrastructure development of the area, including dense population, narrow roads and drainage system.

KOCHI:  A Master Plan will be soon be prepared for the comprehensive development of Thevara. The principal adviser to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will monitor the implementation of the plan. It was at a meeting held as part of the jubilee celebrations of Thevara Sacred Heart College the Metroman gave his nod to oversee the Master Plan preparation and its implementation. 

A meeting was held between E Sreedharan, K V Thomas MP, SH College principal Fr Prasanth Palakkappilly and School of Communications director Babu Joseph in this regard. The master plan will mainly consist of various issues affecting the infrastructure development of the area, including dense population, narrow roads and drainage system. It is expected to include a proper plan for the overall development of the area. 

A meeting will soon be convened at the college with the participation of the MLA, Mayor, Corporation councillors, political party representatives, office-bearers of various residents’ associations and town planning experts.  Sreedharan will also attend the meeting. Meanwhile, Thomas said raising funds will not be a hurdle for the implementation of the Master Plan.
