The Nobility for Ability charity polo cup in Chantilly, France, set the stage for designer Charu Parashar to showcase her khadi collection

Designer Charu Parashar unravelled her khadi dream, in keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making our home-grown weave global, as part of a charity polo match. Organised by the Chantilly Polo Club of  France, it dedicated its annual charity match for the cause professed by Nobility for Ability to raise funds that would empower women and the differently abled persons.

The polo match was held on June 24 at the majestic Chantilly Polo Club, France and was graced by Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur.  Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur played a game too.

Nobility for Ability was born from the personal experience of Piya Bajwa, the founder of this organisation. She shared that Princess Kumari supported her efforts.

Nobility for Ability themed the event as a French Summer Sunday of polo and fashion in support of noble causes in India. It comprised a display of an eclectic fusion of Indian craftsmanship, both traditional and contemporary. The highlight was a couture show by Parashar on the theme, “Khadi: the Fabric of Freedom and Harmony.” The designer's endeavour was to promote and make khadi silk a mainstream fabric globally and her models sashayed about sporting various manifestations and designs.

Ahujasons, the industry leader in making of pashmina shawls, stoles and scarves, Fairmont Jaipur of the Accor Group of Hotels, Jet Airways and Sanjay Kasliwal of Gem Palace, Jaipur, had come forward to sponsor and support the charity polo cup.
