PALANPUR: As many as 40 persons were injured when a luxury bus overturned near a railway overbridge at Sarvana village, about 20 km from Himmatnagar in
Sabarkantha district, early on Thursday.
The injured were admitted to Himmatnagar civil hospital and a private hospital. Police sources said condition of five persons is said to be critical. The accident occurred around 4.30 am when the bus coming from Shyamlaji side overturned at railway overbridge after the driver lost control. The bus was coming from Mandsaur in
Madhya Pradesh and going towards Ahmedabad. Police and fire and rescue services were rushed to the spot. After over an hour, the bus was straightened with the help of a crane after which the traffic got cleared on the busy NH-8.
