Market turns range bound

Key benchmarks were almost flat in morning trade. At 10:24 IST, the barometer index, the Sensex, was down 2.44 points or 0.01% at 35,642.96. The was down 1 points or 0.01% at 10,768.90. Investors were cautious ahead of a deadline when tariffs from the US and are due to be enforced.

Among secondary barometers back home, the Mid-Cap was up 0.06%. The Small-Cap was up 0.15%. Both these indices outperformed the Sensex.

The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was positive. On BSE, 980 shares rose and 919 shares fell. A total of 94 shares were unchanged.

Most FMCG shares rose. Nestle (up 0.82%), (up 0.76%), (up 0.72%), (up 0.57%), (up 0.45%), (up 0.20%), (up 0.03%) and (up 0.01%), edged higher. (down 0.35%), (down 0.38%), Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.53%) and (down 1.38%), edged lower.
