Many of public office under scanner for misusing influence

Aside from questions shot at the CM over his wife’s posting  in a Dehradun-based for the past 22 years, many others are under the public scanner. One of them is Chandra Pant, wife of  the State Finance Minister Prakash Pant who is a teacher in the Government Girls Inter College (GGIC) on Rajpur Road located in the vicinity of the State Secretariat in Dehradun. Interestingly, she is drawing salary from Pithoragarh while being attached in Dehradun for the past many years. Wife of BJP MLA Dhan Singh Negi and relatives of many other influential people are posted in this high- profile and one of  the most sought- after schools in the state. Similarly, the wife of the Union minister of textile Ajay Tamta who is a teacher in Pithoragarh district has been on leave for the past two years. The list is long as it  contains names of relatives of former Education Minister Mantri Prasad Naithani, wife of Congress MLA Vikram Singh Negi and wife of senior BJP leader Jyoti Prasad Gairola who was attached in education directorate last year. Wife of BJP’s national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP, Anil Baluni  is, for instance, enjoying company of his husband in Delhi as she was  sent on attachment from Haldwani government college to the office of  the resident commissioner Delhi. If the names of the relatives of senior Government officials, politicians and journalists who are serving in their desired places in Dehradun the list would be literally endless, those privy to the matter said.
