The parents of a two-year-old boy studying at a playschool in Kolkata have lodged a complaint, with the police, on the grounds that their child may have been sexually assaulted.
According to the report, the boy's mother found her son wailing when she picked him up from school on July 2. She also noticed his pants stained with blood and later found his "internal parts bleeding".
The parents immediately took him to a doctor and the medical report confirmed the assault, police said.
When the parents went to the school to demand answers, the school's principal claimed that they did not have CCTV footage from the day of the alleged incident. Meanwhile, the police have registered the case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POSCO) Act.
