Plant saplings to save greenery of life – CM Chouhan

Bhopal : July , 2018 : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the life of human beings depends on the environmental balance. It is essential to plant saplings to save greenery in life and it is the need of the hour to protect them and help them grow. CM Chouhan said this in a message to the people of the state on Hariyali Mahotsav.

Chouhan said that the state government planted saplings at a widespread level with the support of the people during the Narmada Seva Yatra last year. This year also saplings will be planted in the catchment area of different rivers including the Narmada on July 15. He expressed the hope that while the forest development schemes will help expand green cover on the one hand, it will also generate new opportunities of employment in the rural areas. Chouhan has appealed to each citizen of the state to resolve to plant at least one sapling. He expressed the hope that the Hariyali Mahotsav will be successful in creating awareness towards protection of saplings.

Hariyali Mahotsav is being observed in the state to create awareness of the people towards conservation of green cover. Chief Minister Chouhan has extended best wishes to the people of the state for the success of Hariyali Mahotsav. farmers in Madhya Pradesh, the Governor has informed that the State has been conferred with Krishi Karman Award continuously since the last 5 years.

The Governor Smt. Patel has told the farmers to encourage their children to set up cottage industries related to agriculture. Referring to the Mudra Bank of the government, Smt. Patel said that complete economic support is provided to establish cottage industries under this scheme. She suggested them to install fencing around farms and orchards as an effort to avoid damage from animals.

Smt. Patel further stated that use of organic-fertiliser, water and other modern resources is must to maintain fertility of soil. While describing the benefits of fruits’ farming, she said that ice-cream and other products are made from fruits like custard apple, guava and chikoo, they can earn assured additional income from this farming.

Farmers who came to meet the Governor are undergoing training at the Central Institute of Agriculture Engineering, Bhopal. Senior Officers of ATMA Project-Gandhi Nagar and Raj Bhavan were also present during the meeting with the Governor.
