Young Bharatnatyam dancers rock city

The young Bharatnatyam dancers enthralled the music and dance lovers of the city during the Nat Angan theatre festival.

The dance was performed as ‘Purv Rang’ at the festival organized by Nat Aangan Institute at Shaheed Bhavan auditorium. The Bharatnatyam artiste Yashwardhani Bain, Rajwardhani Bain and Drishti Bhadauria performed the dance. The performance was directed by Prachi Majumdar Choksey. 

The Tandava Ganpati was presented as the Purv Rang. This was a Ganesh Vandana which denotes the dance form of Lord Ganesha. During this spectacular presentation of young dancers the audience appreciated their efforts by applauding non-stop. After Tandav Ganpati, the artists wrapped up their performance with Alhari which left the audience mesmerized.

It is to be noted that sisters Yashwardhani and Rajwardhani are creating niche for themselves in the field of classical dance form. At the end, the ace Bharatnatyam dancer Lata Singh Munshi was also felicitated for her contribution in classical dance.
