Kailash Mansarovar Yatra: Over 1500 pilgrims stuck in Nepal, Embassy issues helpline numbers
Source: TNNAbout 1575 Indian Pilgrims undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in Nepal are stranded due to heavy rains and landslides. Indian Embassy in Kathmandu is providing medical care for the stranded pilgrims and made arrangements for food and water as well. The Embassy is monitoring the situation along Nepalgunj-Simikot-Hilsa route of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. ‘We have requested Government of Nepal for army helicopters to evacuate stranded Indian nationals. /4 #IndiansStrandedInNepal,’ Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted this morning. But due to bad weather conditions evacuations operations are facinig difficulty.
