Nagam Janardhan Reddy
HYDERABAD: Old habits die hard. If you are a turncoat politician used to delivering high-octane punch lines, they are sure to leave a bitter aftertaste. That’s exactly what happened to former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy, who for a moment forgot that he had switched sides. Being used to hurling fireworks at the Congress while he was with the TDP, Nagam did the same again on Tuesday.
Unfortunately for him, it seemed to have slipped his mind that he had joined the very same Congress a few days ago. “Congress’ corruption has become the main hurdle for Telangana’s development,” he said, while addressing media here. However, he quickly realised his mistake and apologised. Recovering from there, he said his intention was to expose the ‘corruption in irrigation projects.’
“After Congress comes to power, it will order a comprehensive probe into the alleged irregularities and send those responsible to jail,” he concluded.
