HYDERABAD: A 10-year-old boy studying in a Madrasa was found brutally murdered at Langar Houz on Tuesday. Police suspect the boy was sexually assaulted and then his head was banged to the floor continuously to make sure he had died, apart from strangling him with a fuel supply pipe.
P Vishwa Prasad, In-charge DCP West Zone said prima facie a murder case is registered. Based on the autopsy report and the forensic expert opinion, the sections may be altered. “The boy’s body is naked from the bottom. We suspect known persons are involved in the brutal incident. Role of minors also cannot be ruled out.” he said.
The boy, a resident of Khader Bagh, is son of an auto driver and is studying at a Madrasa in Langar Houz.
Usually, he leaves from home at 8.30am everyday and returns home by 4:30 in the evening. Sometimes his father drops him and sometimes, he takes a sharing auto to Madrasa. On Tuesday morning, he took Rs 10 from his mother and left home for the Madrassa. But when he did not return home by late evening, his parents went to the Madrasa searching for him and found that the boy did not come to the Madrassa.
Later while they were returning home, they noticed a huge crowd gathered at a land parcel where Andhra Flour Mill was located in the past. The land spread around 10 acres of area is now converted into plots and has a single room in the middle.
Parents stopped with the news of a boy’s body found in the room and rushed to find their son’s body in a pool of blood and the head completely crushed. Police along with the clues team and dog squad rushed to the spot. They found that room had no door and was abandoned for quite sometime and the land is occupied by kids from the area for playing.
Police suspect that while the boy was heading to the Madrasa, the suspects might have befriended him and lured him with something. Six suspects including two minors have been reportedly picked up for questioning.
