AHMEDABAD: With the registration for the 19,763 seats of both
Master of Business Administration and
Master of Computer Application ending today, the
Admission Committee for Professional Courses fears that over 15,000 seats would go vacant.
Officials of
ACPC said that at the end of the registration a total of 4,655 students have applied online and have even got their documents verified. This was nearly 15,100 odd seats will fall vacant. Moreover, officials said that this year around 2200 seats were also surrendered by various colleges as they were not able to get required student strength.
The officials said that in the
MBA there were 8895 seats, while the same in
MCA was 10868 seats in MCA. The officials said that the pin distribution for the same began from July 26 and the ended-on Tuesday. The officials said not many students were willing to go in for
MCA and MBA courses.
Meanwhile in the Master of Education Course there were 883 registrations for the 550 seats. The officials said that this year all the students have been called for offline admission. The officials said that last year too despite more registration, there were 90 seats that had fallen vacant. The officials said that in the granted in college the fee for girls was Rs 1190 while the same for boys was Rs 1780. The officials said that fee for a
SFI college was Rs 22,500.
