PUNE: A
blood donation camp was organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Pune recently. The camp was organised as a part of 70th CA foundation day. The CA
foundation day is being organized across the country. In Pune too, the
ICAI observed the foundation day as ‘CA Day’ with various programs and events.
On June 30 and July 1, as a part of the series, the Pune branches of
Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of ICAI jointly with Western India Chartered Accountants Students Association (WICASA) organised the blood donation camp at eight various locations in the city.
The camp received a good response with more than 523 blood donors and more than 750 participants across the city getting involved in the cause. Chairman of WIRC, Pune branch, CA Anand R Jakhotiya, informed that the camp was organised with the motive to let the youngsters to know the importance of blood donation.
He further said in the statement that, ICAI was formed in 1949 under Act of Parliament and they were entering into 70th year. "We will keep marching with excellence, independence and integrity. I congratulate all chartered accountants and students of ICAI on this day. I am thankful to all the CA members and Students who have supported in various social initiatives taken by Pune branch on this occasion," he said in the statement.
