Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Students, teachers and faculties of Sagar Group of Institutions marked its foundations day with 18 years of establishment in form of celebrations splendid with enthusiasm and zeal.
Foundations day celebrations at Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar began in form of a journey of the school which grew from a humble beginning to its eminent stature today.
A felicitation ceremony marked the day with awards to meritorious students who overcame difficulties and challenges to bring laurels to school and their parents.
Special awards including the Kaushalya Samman, The Sarla Science Proficiency Award, The Sarla Commerce Proficiency Award and The Sarla English Proficiency Award were conferred to deserving students.
Celebrations also included a mesmerizing and enrapturing song by the SPS Choir with a motivating speech by Principal, Pankaj Sharma followed by inciting speeches by Sagarites – Kushagra Bhatia and Muskan Sinha, articulating their experiences.
The celebration culminated with a promise to set new benchmarks with every passing year and strive to strengthen the school’s proud legacy. At Sagar Public School, Gandhi Nagar, Foundations Day Celebrations marked with the lighting of lamp by Chairman, Sagar Group, Sudhir Kumar Agrawal followed by an amazing cultural programme of song and dance by students.
Celebrations also marked the book launch – The Pragmatic Visionary by B. K. Nigam, Air Commodore (Retd), Vishisth Seva Medal Awardee followed by Foundations Day message by Principal Dr Jayshree Kanwar.
To earmark the celebrations, 100 Students of Sagar Vidya Niketan (An initiative by Abhay Sagar Foundation-CSR Arm of Sagar Group with a mission to provide free holistic education to serve the mankind) were welcomed by students of school who participated in various games and activities.
Celebrations at Sagar Public School, Rohit Nagar began by the lighting of the lamp in the presence of Chairman, Sagar Group, Sudhir Kumar Agrawal, Ms. Shubhi Agrawal, Director, Sagar Group and K .K. Dubey, Director HR. Celebrations began with spectacular performances by students of ‘Sholaka Vandan’, Saksharta song ‘Andhere Se Uajale Ki Aur’, Tabla Peshkaar and Western Dance ‘We are Unstoppable’.
It was followed by an oath-taking ceremony pledging to ‘Save Water and Save Food by Reducing Wastage’. Students of Class VIII also participated in ‘Happiness By Sharing’ activity by distributing clothes and sharing grains to the needy people which school students had collected under the campaign ‘A Fistful of Happiness’ in coordination with the CSR arm of Sagar Group Abhay Sagar Foundation. Sagar Public School, Ratibad marked the foundations day by seeking blessings from ‘Maa Saraswati’ followed by distribution of ‘Prasaadam’ to all students and teachers.
