Three dead as two groups clash over land dispute

Three persons were killed and another was seriously injured when two groups opened fire on each other over a land dispute in the district today, police said.

The incident took place at Taparian village, Additional Superintendent of Police BKS Parihar said.

The deceased were identified as Anaar Khan (65), (24) and alias Jagdish Singh (41).

Another person, who was injured seriously, was admitted to Pawai Community Health Centre, he said.

A police team has been deployed in the village after the incident, he added.

The deceased belonged to either of the two groups. Others escaped from the spot after the shoot-out and efforts were on to nab them, the ASP said.
