Cultivating Murder

Disturbing documentary about the 2014 murder of Glen Turner, an environmental officer investigating illegal land clearing in the Moree region of New South Wales. We know from the outset whodunit: Ian Turnbull, who objected to Turner pursuing him for breaking the law.

What makes this frightening is the attitude of Turnbull, his family and many of his fellow farmers who somehow thought (a) flouting the law to eradicate every last vestige of native vegetation and the endangered species it protected was OK and (b) murdering the person getting in their way was also completely justified. Quietly told, but profoundly shocking. MH
