1665 different posts vacant in district hospitals: Chandrakar

The total sanctioned different posts in district hospitals of State are 2634 against which 969 posts have been filled while 1665 posts are lying vacant, said Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar while replying to a question raised by Parasnath Rajwade on Tuesday.

Rajwade had sought details of status of Primary Health Centre, Community Health Centre being operational in state having its own building, status of electricity supply, total posts sanctioned in PHC, CHC and district hospital, total vacancy in each with sanctioned post name.

Minister in a written reply stated that total of 789 Primary Health Centre is operational, while there are 168 Community Health Centres and district hospitals in each district.

The total sanctioned different posts in district hospitals of State are 2634 against which 969 posts have been filled while 1665 posts are lying vacant. In the community health centre the total sanctioned posts is 5136 out of which 2012 have been filled while 3124 posts are lying vacant.

Similarly, in Primary Health Centre the total post sanctioned in State is 5886 against which 2669 posts are lying vacant.

Minister in the data provided states that Medical specialist in CHC has 842 vacant posts while the number of vacancy in district hospital is 121. Similarly, the dentist in CHC against sanctioned post of 72, 31 are vacant while in district hospital total 9 is vacant against sanctioned 30. Assistant medical officer in PHC total sanctioned is 785 against which vacancy is 179. In ophthalmology section of eye assistant officer, out of total sanctioned post of 779, total 301 posts are vacant.

CHC has nursing sister total sanction post of150 out of which 74 are vacant while in district hospital the number is 31 vacant against total 83 sanctioned post.

In district hospital, dental technician sanctioned post of 15, all are lying vacant while that of OT technician also the total 39 sanctioned posts are lying vacant.

Similarly, in Pharmacist Grade 2 in PHC total 739 posts 172 are vacant, while in CHC 43 are vacant against total 302 and in district hospital the number of vacancy is 25 vacant against 102.

The lab technician in PHC vacancy exists of 146 against 534 posts, CHC 153 against 430 posts sanctioned and in district hospital the vacancy is 37 posts.

In district hospital, the vacancy for Surgeon cum Chief Hospital Superintendent total sanctioned posts is 24 out of which 13 are lying vacant.

In the reply Minister said that many other posts are also lying vacant against the sanctioned post.
