Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was arrested by anti-corruption investigators today in a latest dramatic development in a widening graft probe that has engulfed the ex-leader.

Mr Najib, who has long been plagued by allegations of corruption, has been accused of pocketing million of dollars from state development fund.

He has been under investigation since his shock election loss in May. However, Mr Najib denies wrongdoing.

The arrest is the latest in a series of stunning moves by investigators which suggest the legal noose is tightening around Najib, his family and many of his close political and business allies.
