UPPSC: Apply for PCS-2018 Exams from July 6

ALLAHABAD: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) would start inviting online application for Provincial Civil Services (prelims) Exams-2018 from July 6. The exam has been scheduled to be conducted on August 19 for filling 831 vacancies.

This year a record number of 119 Sub Divisional Magistrates and around 100 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs) would be recruited across the state through the exams also known as "Combined State Upper Subordinate Exams-2018".

The aspiring deputy collectors could start applying online through official website of UPPSC, http://uppsc.up.nic.in. Last date of depositing fee is August 2 while that of application form would be August 6.

Commission has for the first time added Assistant Conservator of Forest (ASF) exams in PCS exams. In line with the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), only prelims stage of ASF would be conducted with PCS exams while the mains and interviews would be conducted separately.

The Commission has also introduced an additional subject "Medical" in the mains stage of the exams. Apart from this, at least 1/3rd of the total marks would be cut for every wrong questions from preliminary stage of the exams.

UPPSC has also simplified the submission process by making amendments in the website.

"From this year, aspirants will be given a day's time to amend the mistake they had committed in filling the form. This will save them from the arduous task of filling the application form again," said secretary, UPPSC, Jagdish.
