Claims arose that Zimbabwean Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa met with former president Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace Mugabe last week.
According to state-owned Herald newspaper, there were reports that Chamisa met with the Mugabes in Dubai on Friday and that they agreed on a 20-member cabinet - with Grace as vice president - if he wins the upcoming elections on July 30.
Mugabe has also reportedly offered Chamisa an endorsement of $2m for his election campaign.

This is not the first time claims are made about the appointment of Grace in the deputy position for Chamisa's cabinet.
Previous claims were made by Jim Kunaka of the recently-formed National Patriotic Front (NPF) reported by NewsDay.
However, the claims were rubbished by Chamisa, saying that it will be "unthinkable for Grace to be his deputy", according to privately-owned Standard newspaper.
According to the privately-owned New Zimbabwe newspaper, the new meeting claims arose from social media on Monday.
MDC Alliance presidential spokesperson, Nkululeko Sibanda dismissed reports by state media of a meeting between Chamisa and the Mugabes, along with the claims of an agreed cabinet.
"People are clutching at straws. I have seen the list with some people whom we do not even know. The next thing that they will say is that Chamisa met an angel. It is nowhere near the truth. The point is that we will accept every vote even from (President) Mnangagwa. We know that Chamisa is going to win this election," Sibanda was quoted as saying in an interview with Herald.
