Some parts of the State may continue to experience thundershowers till Thursday. However, it may not be as widespread as Monday’s heavy rainfall, according to the Meteorological Department.

Weather trend
Widespread thundershowers also brought in marginal inflow of about 100 cusecs into the city’s major reservoirs in Poondi and Chembarabakkam on Tuesday.
S.Balachandran, Director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Chennai said the same weather trend may continue till Thursday. Changes in speed and direction of westerly winds influenced the thunderstorm activity.
But, only isolated rainfall accompanied by gusty winds can be expected till Thursday in few parts of the State.

The maximum temperature would be around 35 degree Celsius till Thursday, he said.
