It is expected to fortify ties with one of Australia’s crucial tourism markets.
The contract will permit airlines to operate unlimited services between six popular metropolitan airports in India and six in Australia.
India is the seventh most valuable international tourism market in Australia with 302,200 visitors contributing AUD1.43 billion (USD1.06 billion) to the economy in 2017.
