Several documents were destroyed in a fire that broke out in the office of Joint Commissioner of the famous Sri Dhandayuthapani Swamy temple here today, police said.
Electrical short circuit was suspected to have caused the blaze, they said.
The documents were gutted at a time when probe into the alleged irregularities in the making of an idol of Lord Muruga was on, the police said.
