PATNA: Keeping his words, RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday displayed a “No Entry for Nitish Chacha (uncle)” print-out at his mother’s bungalow at 10, Circular Road here, giving a strong signal that JD(U) president and CM Nitish Kumar is not welcome in the RJD-led grand alliance in Bihar.
Tej displayed the “No Entry for Nitish” print-out from inside the main gate of Rabri Devi’s bungalow this forenoon when some journalists approached him for a reaction on his Monday evening Facebook post in which he once again threatened to quit politics allegedly due to “internal pressure” in the RJD.

Tej also announced to put up a similar “No Entry for Nitish” poster outside the 5, Deshratna Marg bungalow allotted in the name of his younger brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav. Though both brothers Tej and Tejashwi stay with their mother at 10, Circular Road; Tejashwi, considered as the heir apparent of Lalu Prasad, runs his political office at 5, Deshratna Marg.

Earlier on Sunday, Tej had announced to put up a “No Entry” board for Nitish at his mother’s official residence to emphasise his brother’s Tejashwi Yadav’s previous statement that “doors are closed for Nitish in the grand alliance.”

“When we will not allow his (Nitish) entry even in our house, how is it possible his entry into the grand alliance?” Tej had asked on Sunday, inviting sharp reactions from senior leaders of the ruling JD(U)-BJP combine.

Reacting sharply over Tej and Tejashwi’s ‘No entry for Nitish’ comments, JD(U) national secretary general K C Tyagi said the two brothers should not harbour any notions mainly because Nitish Kumar as part of social courtesy attended Tej’s wedding and recently telephoned to Lalu Prasad to enquire about his health. “Nitish Ji telephoned Lalu Prasad as part of courtesy and because of their old association. It does not mean he is willing to join the grand alliance. Besides political differences, leaders used to meet and greet each other at family functions, wedding ceremonies,” Tyagi said.

He said, both brothers were virtually competing as to who could be more ill-mannered.

Deputy CM and BJP senior Sushil Kumar Modi took to Twitter to slam the former health minister. “Tej has forgotten ‘basic decency’ in making comment about a senior politician like Nitish Kumar. It was Nitish’s goodwill that ensured Tej and his brother’s entry into the state assembly,”

“The people of this state will show up “No Entry” board to the RJD in the next assembly elections,” Sushil Modi said in series of tweets.
