CHENNAI : I joined Tamilnadu State Construction Corporation Ltd, Madurai in 1982 as an Accounts Trainee and in 2003 I was absorbed in Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited after I passed the necessary departmental tests. But when I retired in 2014, I was paid earned leave salary and gratuity only for the years of my service in the second corporation. Despite my repeated letters to pay gratuity and arned leave for my service years in Tamilnadu  State Construction Corporation, there is no reply. Kindly advise me the solution.

File a writ petition in the High Court (Madurai Bench) and seek for appropriate direction to the Tamil Nadu Housing Development Corporation.My maternal uncle, a Christian and deceased in 2015, has left behind 18 cents of land in Kerala and during his life time, he had written off 11 cents out of this in his wife's name. My uncle had no children and had left a will saying that all his properties will go to his sister and two brothers.

But under Christian property laws, my aunt's brothers also have claim over the property. In the final years of his life, my uncle managed to get in writing from his brother in-laws that they don't want to make any claim over the property. But the sale procedure could not be finished since his brother in-laws did not come to the register officer to sign. Now with my uncle no more, how can we sell off the property?

You will have to seek for partition before the appropriate civil court. After getting the decree there will be an automatic registration of your name in the records.
