In Nepal, incessant rain has claimed 7 lives and affected normal life in many parts of the country.

More than 1,200 Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims, mostly from India, are stranded in Nepalgunj, Simikot and Hilsa as flights have been suspended due to bad weather.

AIR correspondent reports that Embassy of India providing all neccasry support including food and water to stranded pilgrims.

Normal life has been affected in various parts of Tarai and hills due to heavy rains. Many areas inundated and vehicular movement obstructed in Nuwakot, Dang and Syangja districts.

In Nepalganj and Simikot, representatives of Indian Embassy are personally in touch with the stranded Kailash Mansorvar pilgrims and extending all possible support.

The mission is also looking at various alternative routes for evacuation. The local airlines operating on the route have been asked to ensure availability of extra aircraft in Nepalganj to evacuate all stranded pilgrims as soon as weather clears up.

The Embassy is also looking at the possibility of evacuating critical cases by the helicopters. Raj Kumar AIR News Kathmandu."

Meanwhile, according to Met division of Nepal, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely to continue at many places in the country.
