NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to quash the appointments of KV Chowdary as central vigilance commissioner and TM Bhasin as vigilance commissioner saying there was no illegality in the Centre’s decision to appoint them to their posts for four years in 2015.

A bench of Justices Arun Mishra and MM Shantanagoudar dismissed two PILs challenging the appointments saying there is no ground to quash the appointments and allegations levelled against them are baseless.
