Four persons hailing from Hisar district of Haryana were today arrested from Secunderabad railway station and over 3 kg gold ornaments and other valuables worth more than Rs 1 crore seized from them, officials said.
They were wanted in connection with thefts in running trains and railway stations.
Railway Protection Force and government railway police personnel nabbed Surender Kumar and three of his associates, an official release said.
They "confessed" that they were involved in 17 cases in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, it said.
Gold ornaments weighing 3.1 kg, silver (280 gms) and Rs 2 lakh in cash, all worth Rs 1.07 crore, was seized from them, it said.
