Sophia the robot was literally in pieces before her scheduled dinner date with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed over the weekend.
According to BBC, she was scheduled to attend a press conference at the Ethiopian National Museum in the capital of Addis Ababa on June 29, which had to be postponed as some of her body parts got lost in transit at Germany's Frankfurt Airport.

She finally met with Abiy on Monday, but it is still unclear what they spoke about at the meeting, as Sophia hasn't been pre-programmed with answers, relying on her machine learning skills, together with her ability to respond to people's facial expressions.
Sophia was also spotted out in town on social media, as she attended a restaurant where she was met with traditional singing and dancing.
According to Quartz, some of Sophia's software was developed in Ethiopia, along with her being programmed to speak and understand the official Ethiopian language, Amharic.
Sophia, developed by Hanson Robotics in Hong Kong, is currently the world’s most famous humanoid robot with artificial intelligence (AI). She was granted Saudi Arabian citizenship in October 2017 and has even been on a bizarre date with Will Smith.
