Heat advisory extended for most of Massachusetts

The National Weather Service has posted a heat advisory from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. Tuesday for all Massachusetts except Cape Cod.

The temperature will be around 90, with humidity making it feel even hotter. Unlike previous days, even the coast will simmer.

The heat will continue at least until the weekend, with the potential for strong thunderstorms and heavy rain on Friday.

The heat can pose serious risks for the elderly and others in poor health.
