When art saves tuskers

Thirty elephants are parading the world to raise awareness about their survival and habitat. Take a look at the beautiful display in London

Indian artists and designers have become the latest crusaders to join a band of creative talent from across the world in a collective mission to save Asian elephants. The elephant parade — the world’s biggest touring public elephant art exposition —  is  an initiative of Ruth Ganesh, Trustee of Elephant Family, the UK-based charity that organised the initiative, and is on display in London currently. Designers like JJ Valya, Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, Gaurav Gupta, and others contributed to the cause, meant to save elephant corridors. The London chapter will wrap in an auction and the proceeds would go towards conserving the spaces inhabited by elephants.
