The enrolment of eligible farmers under Rythu Bandhu insurance scheme is 62% so far with submission of nomination forms by 27,00,612 farmers. Principal Secretary (Agriculture) C. Parthasarathi directed mandal agriculture officers to complete enrolment by July 10 and complete examination of nomination forms on daily basis so that comprehensive information is forwarded to Life Insurance Corporation by July 15.
Mr. Parthasarathi said at a review meeting held here on Tuesday that submission of information to LIC by the due date was necessary so that issuance of insurance certificates could be taken up from August 15. He also wanted the officials concerned to upload the enrolment details in the specified portal and authenticate the uploaded data every day.
