VADODARA: Professor Bhavna Mehta, officer on special duty (dean) at M S University's Faculty of Social Work and director of Office of Corporate Affairs has been invited as a key note speaker at the joint world conference on social work, education and social development 2018 to be organised at Dublin, Ireland between July 4 and July 7.
The conference is hosted by the International Association of Schools of Social Work, International Council on Social Welfare, International Federation of Social Workers in Association with the Irish Association of Social Workers.
The theme of the 2018 conference is 'Environmental and Community Sustainability: Human Solutions in Evolving Societies'.
The conference will be attended by and over 2,000 delegates from the world over including practitioners, academics, educators, policy makers and users of services and are expected to attend to discuss key issues that affect their lives and those of the individuals, families and communities with whom they work.
Mehta is the only Indian and Asian among the ten invited key note speakers in this conference and she will talk on 'social justice for women in India: Mapping the terrain'.
Earlier Mehta was invited as a visiting faculty to the University of The Punjab, Lahore
Pakistan, University of South Carolina, USA and
University College Dublin, Ireland.
Last year, she was the only Asian to have been invited the peace program of the Council of International Fellowship, Israel.
