Sony Pictures has pushed the release of Tom Hanks' new film "Greyhound" to March 22, 2019.
Based on CS Forester's novel, "The Good Shepherd", the film is directed by Aaron Schneider.
Set during World War II, "Greyhound" is the story of a fleet of Allied ships, led by Captain Ernest Krause (Hanks), crossing the North Atlantic while being chased by German enemies.
The movie also stars Elisabeth Shue, Rob Morgan and Stephen Graham.
Produced by Hanks and Gary Goetzman, the film is executive produced by Aaron Ryder, Steven Shareshian and David Coatsworth.
"Greyhound" is financed by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions, Bron Creative, Sycamore Pictures and Zhengfu Pictures.
Sony and Hanks have previously collaborated on "Captain Phillips" and "Inferno.
