One of the USPs of Nokia smartphones is the rollout of timely security and Android software updates. In May, HMD Global announced that all Nokia smartphones will be getting Android P update and recently, the company brought the Android P update (beta) the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7, and Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphones in China. In a latest development, the company support staff has confirmed that Android P rollout for Nokia phones is expected to start in August.
This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, given that Nokia announced moving all of its smartphones to the Android One platform at Mobile World Congress 2018 and has been rolling out consistent updates to nearly all of them. As for Android P rolling out to Nokia smartphones, most Android devices come with a promise to update the Android OS for two years after their launch.
