Bengaluru army cops ride to Kargil to celebrate Vijay Diwas

BENGALURU: As part of Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations, 'Shet Ashw', the motorcycle display team of Corps of Military police, went on a motorcycle expedition from Bengaluru on Monday morning.

The team will travel 3250km across eight states before they reach Kargil on July 24. A total of five highly experienced riders of the team are participating in the expedition which includes Lieutenant Colonel Vikram Rajebhosale and four others from the Corps of Military Police. They would ride the newly launched 200 cc TVS Apache RTR.



The above distance will be covered over a period of 20 days during which the team would traverse across the length of the country from Bengaluru to Kargil and cover cities such as Belgaum, Pune, Mumbai, Vadodara, Udaipur, Nasirabad, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali, Sarchu and Leh.

The aim of the expedition is to strengthen the brotherhood, pay homage to the supreme sacrifices made by our martyrs during the Kargil War and enhance the image of the Indian Army to motivate the youth to join this elite organisation, said a defence press release.
