Movie-making workshop held at MPSD

The students of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD) are learning the creative skills of movie making in a workshop. Renowned film writer Atul Tiwari is conducting the workshop. The movie making workshop is organized by MPSD for the students of 2018-19 batch. Film writerAtul Tiwari from New Delhi is invited as the guest faculty at MPSD to conduct the workshop. Notably, the workshop is organized as a part of classroom practice. The eight day workshop ‘Film Making Process’ has given the students an opportunity to brush up their creative skills and to know about various aspects of film making. The workshop began on May 25 and will continue till July 2.During the workshop the students are instructed in the basics of writing, directing and other technical aspects of production. The workshop also focuses upon the choice of idea before making a film. Besides, the choice of target audience is also the part of the workshop. Tiwari also told the students about the outdoor and indoor shootings. He emphasized about the dos and don’ts in film making process. Talking about the acting part, he highlighted about the expressions and body language of the actors. During the workshop, the students were divided into groups and were given tasks and assignments by Tiwari. The groups of students have prepared four short movies on the basis of the workshop. To mark the conclusion of the workshop, a three-day film festival will be organised at MPSD. These movies are made by the students of MPSD. The movies include Ban, author’s character, zeher and Ilaaj.
